Kitchen-Garden-Review-20613-Digging-Fork

The September Issue of Kitchen Garden Magazine performed a product test on a range of Digging Forks and gave the Carbon Steel Digging Fork (stock no. 20613) a rating of 4/5.

“… We’ve come a long way from the days when forks were wooden. We can only imagine how durable they were compared to the modern steel fork, which has become more or less an essential item in the average gardener’s repertoire of tools …

Product Code: 20613
Features: This has a D-Shaped handle. The shaft is made of carbon steel and plastic coated.

Tony Says: This is a sturdy digging fork that will stand the test of time. The D-shaped plastic handle felt comfortable, the strong tines seemed to stand up well to stones in the soil, and there was enough heaviness in the fork as a whole to penetrate difficult soil. In lighter, more worked soil this was a comfortable fork to dig with and I would have no problem using it on a regular basis. At times I could feel a couple of rivets in the lower half of the shaft while I was digging but nothing that cuased discomfort. Overall, this is a reliable workaday fork at a very reasonable price.

KG Verdict:
Strong, reliable, reasonably priced.
