It is a requirement in the UK to minimise the disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) to landfill and to achieve high levels of collection of WEEE for environmentally sound treatment.
Draper Tools are a member of the Valpak Distributor Take Back Scheme for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
As one of the leading tool companies for the procurement and distribution of automotive, hand, gardening, power, pneumatic, static power tools and other products, Draper Tools seeks to maximize modern technologies which are clearly deemed to promote and protect the efficient use of the world's resources without detriment to its inhabitants.
Draper Tools recognizes that in our day-to-day operations we inevitably have an impact on the environment in a number of ways and we wish to minimize the potentially harmful effects of such activity wherever and whenever possible.
As part of our continuing drive for quality in all the things we do, we have developed this comprehensive policy statement. This will enable us to set objectives and promote the targets by which our efforts are displayed towards sustainable environmental improvement that can be measured and monitored on a continual basis. To this end, we have established a Management System which complies to ISO14001:2015
In this way we aim to protect the health and safety of our employees and our customers whilst contributing to the future well-being of the environment. We have undertaken to help every employee to understand and implement the relevant aspects of this policy in their day-to-day work through the regular communication of objectives, action plans and achievements. Our Managing Director has accepted specific responsibility for policy development and authorized a senior Director of the company to coordinate and evaluate the performance of our environmental programme.
We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment by means of a programme of continuous improvement. In particular, Draper Tools Limited will:

Each year, employers with 250 or more employees must publish and report specific figures about their gender pay gap. Draper Tools Limited have submitted their latest report to the government online.
The gender pay gap is the average difference between the remuneration for men and women, and the UK Government introduced new regulations in 2017 with the aim of bridging that gap.
Gender pay gap sometimes gets confused with equal pay i.e. different levels of pay for the same work: something which has been illegal since the 1970 Equal Pay Act.
Of course, in any company a gender pay gap will occur if the top jobs are held by male members of staff, despite paying male and female employees the same amount for similar roles. At Draper Tools, all our Board members are male, something possibly to be expected in what tends to be a male orientated industry.
However, the Company prides itself in following a well-developed, fair recruitment process and in providing the same training and development opportunities to both its male and female employees.Gender Pay Gap Reporting
On 6th April 2017, the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 came into force. They require businesses with 250 employees or more to publish information annually stating the differences in both the average pay and bonuses of their male and female employees.Pay at Draper Tools Limited
The gender pay and bonus gap are based on a snapshot taken in March 2017. When reviewing the figures, need to recognise that at Draper Tools Limited:
This is in line with a common theme seen across the UK work force.
We also need to be mindful that the tool industry tends to be male orientated. What Improvements/Initiatives are Under Way?
Draper Tools want to be an ‘employer of choice’ and are committed to creating an environment where all our employees can achieve their professional goals. We have already introduced several new initiatives that support that commitment:
