The March edition of Classics Monthly Magazine tested a range of screwdriver sets and concluded that the magazine’s ‘Pro Choice’ accolade be awarded to the Draper Expert 16 piece Engineers Screwdriver Set, Stock No.43571.
Classics Monthly says… “The variety of prices, quantities and qualities on test is typical of the enormous selection available. With the exception of one tip in Silverline’s mechanics set, the quality has ranged from decent (I’d use it) to pro, proving you can leave those pound shop ‘bargains’ well and truly alone. The most telling aspect of this test has been sampling seven handle styles in quick succession, confirming that screwdrivers are a very personal choice. In spite of my doubts (and attempts to prove otherwise) the handles in Draper’s 16-piece set proved pleasingly tough in spite of their hard boiled sweets appearance and an excellent pro choice.”
– Excellent pro quality.
– Hexagonal bolsters on some sizes for extra torque.
– Handles proved tough (we also dropped them from above standing height).
– Colour coded handles.
Also worth considering…
– Hard handles feel solid, but not as comfortable as others tested.
