Land Rover Monthly Magazine recently tested a range of Brake Bleeding Kits and concluded that the magazine’s ‘Best Budget Buy’ accolade be awarded to the Draper Brake Bleeding Kit (Stock No. 37316)
“After suction and pressure kits, the third method of one-man bleeding is using one of these: a pipe with a one-way valve on the end. After fitting the tube securely over the relevant bleed screw, opening said screw, and positioning the bottle on the floor, you can simply pump away on the brake pedal. Every pedal push pumps bad fluid out, but the one way valve prevents the master cylinder sucking in air through the bleed screw on the upward stroke. Fresh fluid from the reservoir is drawn in instead. Although cheap and often effective, this method isn’t without drawbacks.
