Electric & Hybrid Vehicles are the future – are you prepared?

While electric vehicles still account for a relatively small share of the new car market in the UK, it's a rapidly growing market with manufacturers increasingly introducing new and improved models as the demand and infrastructure develops. With news reports suggesting that the Government will go ahead with its proposal to ban all new non-electric cars from sale by 2035 at the latest, it's clear that EVs are here to stay.

These vehicles are increasing in popularity each year, yet some garages and workshops could be missing out on this growing market, simply by not having the right tools for the job. Whether it’s regular maintenance or major repairs, it’s important for workshops to have the proper insulated, VDE approved tools to safely carry out work on hybrid or electric vehicles.

To help garages and workshops meet this rising demand, here at Draper Tools we offer a huge range of socketry, including a series of VDE socket sets and individual accessories, designed for use with electric and hybrid vehicles. These are all part of the high-quality Draper Expert range and are manufactured from tough chrome vanadium steel, correctly hardened and tempered and chrome plated and feature the Draper Hi-Torq®  6 point drive system.
