Draper generates over a half a million kWh of clean energy
16th Dec 2025
The Draper team have just received our first ever annual Wrap Report from solar intelligence and installation company Absolar, which reveals how we've generated 517,373 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean, renewable energy across the year.
According to Absolar, the amount of energy generated by Draper’s solar installation this year is enough to make 11 million cups of tea! More importantly, it has prevented over 100 tonnes of CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere in 2025 and will continue to do so.

Speaking about the news, Matt Sheen, CEO at Draper Tools said: “The solar installation at our new environmentally efficient warehouse represented a major investment for us and certainly required meticulous planning and execution from the Absolar team. However, getting our first annual Wrap Report from them has definitively proven just how worthwhile and strategically important that decision was.
"Seeing our system generating over half a million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in its first year is incredible. Avoiding more than 100 tonnes of CO2 just shows how it’s making a real difference.”
The new environmentally-efficient Draper warehouse proudly features over 900 solar panels, carefully placed around 700 skylights. Absolar handled the full end to end delivery, from initial feasibility and remote scanning to installation and commissioning, with Draper’s Wrap Report showing just how detailed its data is. It was able to specifically hone in on its highest producing week (w/c 7 July) and even its highest daily output of 3,635 kWh (18 June).

The Draper team is keen to encourage other organisations to embrace solar power too. If you'd like to quickly and easily find out your building’s solar potential for free - try out the free online solar survey tool from Absolar at: https://find.absolar.co.uk/form?utm_source=2025wrap
